Fitness Mentality: From Once in a While to a Lifestyle

​Let’s discuss how once in a while we get all hyped up about looking great for a big event that comes around every year or so.  Whether it's a wedding, a beach trip, or a scheduled photo day, we're all about hitting the gym and eating better for a month straight to look a certain way, right? Killing ourselves to look our best for that single event.

What if we flipped the script? What if instead of sweating it out just for that one event, we made working out and eating more healthy a part of our lifestyle, a permanent thing, all year round, no matter what's on the calendar?

Imagine this: instead of stressing over squeezing into that one outfit, we were all about living our best lives every single day. Meaning, ditching the crash diets and crazy workouts for a more chill, sustainable approach to being the person that we desired to be… and the person that we want others to see.

How do we make this happen? Well, first off, let's stop seeing exercise and eating right as chores or punishments, and start seeing them as legitimate ways to feel freaking amazing. I mean… who doesn’t feel great after finishing a tough workout, or seeing how your body has reacted after a few weeks of good eating and exercise?

And it's not just about the physical aspects of health? It's about taking care of our mental and emotional wellness also. Whether it's relaxing meditation, pouring our ideas out in a journal, or just hanging out with our friends, make self-care a part of daily living.

We're not aiming for perfection. We're seeking progress. There will be days when we crush it and days when we're just not feeling it and want to sit down with Netflix and lounge about (been there, done that). As long as we're making moves for self-improvement and feeling good in our own skin, we're winning.

Ditch the pressure to look a certain way for one particular event, and focus on feeling fantastic every single day. It won’t be perfect, and it won’t always be fun… but it WILL be worth it.

May your aim be steady, your path be relentless, and your impact be mighty.
