Searching for Consistency: Digging Deeper

Before you begin with the survey, I’d like to go back and reference the previous blog post "But Why?". If you have not read it, it would be ideal that you do so before jumping into the survey. Understanding the deeper motivations behind our actions can be pivotal in achieving consistency and success in our fitness journeys. It highlights the "5 Whys" strategy, which involves asking yourself "why" multiple times to dig deeper into the root causes of your challenges, or reasons for doing something. For instance, if you often feel too tired to work out, ask yourself why that is. You might discover that inadequate sleep or late-night habits are the culprits. By identifying and addressing these underlying issues, you can develop more effective strategies to stay motivated and consistent.

  • Section 1 Score (Personal Perception and Self-Esteem): 9 or lower - you have a low perception of your physical fitness and health. Building your self-esteem is vital to improving your lifestyle.

  • Section 2 Score (Physical Activity and Well-being): 9 or lower - your physical activity/ capabilities are low. Beginning a fitness, health, and nutrition program as soon as possible would be a great benefit.

  • Section 3 Score (Social and Emotional Impact): 9 or lower - there are possibly some underlying issues holding you back from starting your journey which need to be addressed.

  • Section 4 Score (Motivation and Future Outlook): 10 or lower - you have a very grim perception of the future and what you deserve in that future. Look for ways to increase your optimism.​
